The skin needs time to acclimate to salicylic acid like any strong acid. However, for those who have been getting peels of %10 or more I would recommend using this peel. Follow the directions precisely. This skin laboratory peel does not self neutralize (like perfect peel, which is much like the professional peels), so you can time it to where your skin has more absorption.
